Joe’s Reminiscence Film Show

On Wednesday 31st January 2014, we were treated to ‘Joe’s Reminiscence Film Show’. He delighted our residents with his video footage and thought inspiring music. Joe showed us recent footage from Chatsworth House Christmas Markets and Chester’s Christmas Markets. We saw stags and deer, and the beautiful gardens of Chatsworth in the wonderful season of winter. It was lovely for our residents to relive memories of familiar places that they have visited with their families over the years. Joe brought his bag of memories. Asking us to flex our minds in naming all the different types of nuts and traditional fruits that we associate with Christmas. Our residents really enjoyed Joe’s show. We hope to have Joe visit us again at Fernlea in the Spring....

The girls had gone all out on their festive costumes and delighted our residents with renditions of ‘a White Christmas’ and ‘all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth’. Our residents showed us what lovely singing voices they had, as they joined in with Silent Night and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. With their energetic dancing, festive outfits and angelic voices, it really was a fantastic festive...
